Professional Background
Spyros is a senior professional with 28+ years of experience in multinational FMCG and Services Organisations across Europe, US, Asia, and Greece specialized in the Human Resources area.
His education includes an MBA from Boston College and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the National Technical University of Athens. He is a certified Master Coach from Inside Edge Coaching Organisation and a graduate of Executive Development and HR Leadership Programs.
Spyros started his career at Procter & Gamble and moved to PepsiCo where he held a variety of HR roles for a period of twenty years driving the talent agenda for European and Global Business Units with more than 30,000 employees. More recently he joined the large European food business of Arla Foods Group as HR Vice President for Finance, Marketing and Germany. The last 3 years has relocated back to Greece leading the HR function for OPAP and Mitsis Hotels transforming their HR Functions to contribute to their accelerated growth.
Passionate about his work and employees’ development, has succeeded throughout his career in building agile leaders, fostering and engaging & effective performance culture, retaining and developing key talent and preparing organizations for future challenges. He has led multiple functional transformations with multinational impact and has driven the development of High-Performance Leadership teams across different functions and geographies.
He likes all the sports activities, but he is getting passionate about football and basketball. He lives in Athens, happily married and is a proud father of twins, a boy and a girl.
