A 6-week Development Journey for Women Leaders

A 6-week learning experience that seeks to equip women with actionable steps and practices to address the barriers that impede their advancement in the workplace. Through strategically targeted skill-building exercises, simulations, case studies and reflection, Advancing Women Leaders (AWL) develops the leadership strengths of your Women Leaders while creating a direct business impact.
- We Use a Self-Assessment Tool, based on the Practices of Women In Leadership.
- Participants are encouraged to practice their learnings in-between sessions
- We provide access to our digital learning program
- We provide the option, along with the sessions, to receive their own 360° report on Women In Leadership and two 1-1 Coaching Sessions with your trainer.
Module 1: Intro and Inner Critic
Discover the business case for women in leadership, and establish a firm foundation for the conditions needed to advance as a woman leader. Explore Linkage’s research on the Inner Critic and other Hurdles women must scale as they seek to advance and form an impactful leadership identity, and develop an understanding of the Competencies Linkage has identified to help women leaders overcome each Hurdle. Identify areas of strength and opportunity in your journey to advance.
Module 2: Bias
Explore how Bias affects women, learn about the Double and Triple Bind, and reflect on your own experience with Bias. Identify the importance of getting curious and asking the right questions, and practice a powerful tool to combat Bias.
Module 3: Clarity
Recognize the three conditions for Clarity—Calling, Values and Dreams—and reflect on your own relationship with each component. Create and analyze your own “Jar of Life” to see where you spend your time.
Module 4: Proving Your Value
Understand why and how women leaders have a tendency to over-row the boat, and how this tendency can hamper your leadership advancement. Identify ways to inspire others and multiply their talents, without doing all the work yourself.
Module 5: Recognized Confidence
Identify the difference between confidence and worthiness and explore the “confidence gap” that exists for women. Recognize what imposter syndrome is and where it might happen to you. Create and share your own Leadership Timeline to chart your personal growth as a leader.
Module 6: Branding & Presence
Understand what a leadership brand is, reflect on the brands of leaders whom you admire, and develop a language for your own personal brand. Identify your organization’s brand and formulate and share your Elevator Speech.
Module 7: Making the Ask
Understand research on why women face difficulty Making the Ask and hear personal examples of women asking for what they want. Explore and implement tools to guide you in Making the Ask and develop a plan to ask for what you want.
Module 8: Networking
Recognize and discuss the importance of Networking and why it can be particularly difficult for women. Identify and share winning strategies for Networking and analyze your own network to determine where you need to expand it. Understand the importance of sponsorship, and where you might be able to leverage sponsorship and your wider network to help with your advancement as a woman leader.
